After a mass stabbing at a gun-free zone at a college campus yesterday, will there be a movement to ban knives? Another college campus in Rhode Island had a gun scare last week over a Nerf gun during a game of Humans vs. Zombies, but in Rhode Island campus police aren’t allowed to carry guns.
While the old guard in the Republican Senate seems to be caving on the gun debate, Sen. Pat Toomey is working on a compromise legislation that seems to have some scary implications, without any effect on stopping mass shootings. Meanwhile, law enforcement officers believe that the best way to provide for public safety is an armed citizenry.
John McCain believes it’s just fine for rich people like New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg to use their money for political speech as long as it’s in the interest of limiting freedom. Meanwhile, one of Bloomberg’s “Mayors Against Illegal Guns” tried to lure a man into a sexual encounter at gunpoint.
Democrats who voted for ObamaCare are now realizing what’s in it, and they’re not thrilled with its implementation. One of the main architects of the bill says that it’s “the most complex piece of legislation ever passed…it is just beyond comprehension.” I hope Republicans are taking note, because the ground is still ripe for repeal after Obama leaves office. I doubt that they have the cojones to do it, though. Also, the District of Columbia is calling smoking a preexisting condition.
Obama’s budget (two months late) actually includes a good idea on saving money on Social Security, but it also will limit the tax benefits of private retirement plans. Australia is also punishing high achievers who are trying to save money.
The labor force is the smallest it’s been since 1979. Where’s this “recovery” I keep hearing about?
About 15% of Americans receive food stamps, which last year cost taxpayers a record $80.4 billion, which big corporations are benefitting from a lot. Since LBJ, the federal government has spent over $15 trillion on the “war on poverty.” When do we acknowledge that is a quagmire and that it’s time to pull out of that failed war? Also, we had another story today about welfare fraud at casinos and strip clubs. These are just the people dumb enough to not hide their fraud.
The American Conservative Union is lobbying Republican lawmakers to avoid cuts in government spending. Does conservatism even mean anything anymore?
MSDNC host Melissa Harris Hyphen Perry says that your kids belong to the collective, not to you. Will Melissa Harris Hyphen Perry come change diapers or wake up to feed your baby? More importantly, do you trust her to? Because I sure as hell wouldn’t.
The GayStapo strikes again: Two gay George Washington University students want a priest removed from campus. On the other side, a gay son of a Republican member of Congress refuses to bash his dad…so he gets cancelled on MSDNC and CNN.

A man who was put on the sex offender registry in Iowa for having consensual sex with his high school girlfriend has now been arrested again for registering as a lobbyist while trying to get the law changed so that he can be removed from the sex offender registry.
The cesspool that is modern higher “education” results in students that are trained in racism, classism, sexism, gender identity-ism, but not American history. At Bowdoin College, even history majors aren’t required to take a single course in American history.
The city of Phoenix, Arizona is recruiting minority lifeguards even if they can’t swim.
The left-wing media is enamored with the fact that the trash Nazis in San Francisco get up so early to make sure that you’re only throwing away that which you’re supposed to be throwing away.
The head of NASA says that the United States won’t be returning to the moon. Of course, we depend on the Russians to go to space anyway, so this should come as no surprise.
A circus elephant was shot in a drive-by shooting in Tupelo, Mississippi.
False rumors of a dorm search at the University of Virginia sparked hilarious panic among students, who dumped their alcohol.
Target is in trouble for using “Manatee Grey” for plus-sized dresses.
The former vice-Mayor of Mount Carmel, Tennessee allegedly drove 90 miles per hour with his…well…”member” out the window. Speaking of exposed members, former Congressman Anthony Weiner is looking at a political comeback.
Science has proven that women like men with bigger penises. Thank you, science.
In “that’s a really bad idea” news today, police in Utah say that a man showed up drunk at a state trooper’s house to complain about being turned in for drunk driving last year. In another one, robbers had their gun taken away during a home invasion, and then returned to the house to ask for their gun back.
