With Russian troops in Ukraine, my shoulders are decidedly shrugged. After all, what is the United States supposed to do in reaction? What does matter is the projection of strength as a global superpower, and in that Obama is failing and has failed since taking office. After all, an Iranian general says that Obama’s threats are the “joke of the year.” Russia test-fired an ICBM yesterday, projecting strength if not a threat. Given American weakness, what standing would we have to condemn North Korea after they also test-fired missiles? Another important thing to remember is that the United States depends on Russia to fly into space. How much, given our relative weakness, can we really do to slow down anything that Vladimir Putin?
The Obama Administration has announced another delay to ObamaCare that will prevent more insurance cancellation notices from going out right before the midterm elections. Oregon is “accidentally” covering illegal immigrants under ObamaCare. The real purpose of ObamaCare is coming out: Ezekiel Emanuel, one of the chief architects behind ObamaCare, says to “be prepared to kiss your insurance company good-bye forever.”
The Justice Department is suing Sprint, saying that the company overcharged the government for wiretaps. Also, the CIA spied on staff members of the Senate Intelligence Committee. Will this be enough for lawmakers to care?
House Speaker John Boehner is admitting that he won’t repeal ObamaCare, but he will be more than happy to help Obama and the Democrats pass amnesty. Meanwhile, Republicans have finally found the issue that they are willing to fight for: protecting federal flood insurance subsidies. What’s the point of the GOP anymore?
